Voice Over Artist

Dave Gonzales is a very familiar face and a mainstay in Los Angeles television news. Millions of viewers know him as the weekday anchor at KCAL 9 TV. His inviting, engaging and trusted voice has informed and entertained television and radio audiences for more than 25 years. Now he is a rising talent in the world of voice over, available to help you, by offering his versatile style to commercials, promos, animation, films, and documentaries.

Dave was born in Southern California, but grew up living around the world. He is a U.S. Air Force “brat” who found adventure and happiness wherever he lived. Dave took his first job in radio at KZUL, Parker, Arizona as an on air personality and news reporter. A move to Salt Lake City would hone his radio skills. Dave’s radio work caught the attention of a local television News Director who helped him start his TV career. The jump to television was natural for Dave. After cutting his teeth in Salt Lake City, San Diego, Monterey and Fresno, Dave came to Los Angeles to work at KCAL for nearly 20 years, where he anchored the 12 noon and 2pm newscasts. His easy going nature, coupled with quick wit and intelligence make him a favorite among viewers. Whether it’s fires, floods, or earthquakes, Dave is always at the ready to bring the good and the bad to viewers. He has traveled extensively for work. Whether he's covering Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia or in Italy for the election of a new Pope, Dave is as quick on his feet miles from home as he is behind the anchor desk.

At home, Dave loves anything music. He plays guitar and piano, and will try just about any instrument he picks up. He is also a die hard Dodgers fan, no matter what kind of a season they are having. Dave is married, and lives in Castaic with his wife Nancy and daughter Sierra, three golden retrievers, two horses and a bunny. When asked his favorite place on earth, Dave replies “my backyard”.
